About Us
At St. Joseph’s Catholic School we put Christ at the centre of all we do. We provide a happy secure and caring environment in which learning, prayer and personal and community growth form the basis for lifelong education. To learn together in the love of Christ.

St Joseph's from the air!
St. Joseph’s was built in 1963 as a first school and is now a Primary and Nursery place of learning. It serves the villages of Old and New Ollerton and Boughton as well as other outlying parts of the parish of St. Joseph’s, Ollerton.
It is the aim of the school to provide a happy and caring learning environment enabling all our children to work, develop and grow in confidence and where, through experiencing good Gospel values, they will grow in faith and see the importance of becoming responsible members of the community.
There is a nursery unit and a main school building. We currently have 161 children on roll plus a 50 place nursery which has morning and afternoon sessions. The foundation stage has a Nursery and a reception class and Key Stage 1 has 2 classes. Children in key stage 2 are taught Literacy, Numeracy and Science in their 4 year groups. Other subjects eg. History, Geography, Art etc in 3 mixed age key Stage 2 classes on four afternoons. Year 6 pupils progress to All Saints Comprehensive, Mansfield or the Dukeries Community College.
We produce a prospectus for those interested in our school. Please go to the Admissions section for a copy.
We had our last OFSTED inspection in the Autumn of 2007 and the report is available from the OFSTED website.
We also have a School Profile, which is an informative outline of the school's aims, achievements and activities held on the Government's Directgov website.
